Vericor is a solution provider for the Oil & Gas onshore and offshore industry. We are an aero-derivative gas turbine OEM, and we apply these gas turbines into systems to meet the rigorous demands of our industrial and O&G customers. Our power solutions range is from 3.0 to 14 megawatts (MW). We have been providing gas turbines to the US Navy and other allied forces, and industrial customers for power generation, cogeneration and mechanical drive solutions for nearly 20 years.
At our booth this year, we will have a cut away Gas Turbine on display, and people will be able to see how compact a 5,000 HP engine can be in comparison to a diesel engine of equivalent horsepower. We believe this is a game changer in the oil and gas industry for hydraulic fracturing trailers. Other interesting applications include mobile/stationary electric power, gas compression stations, pumping systems, and cogeneration.
As an aero-derivative gas turbine, one of our strengths is the high power to weight/space ratios. Our products are ideal for mobile mechanical drive applications and mobile power. Compared to big diesel engines, our gas turbines are much smaller, lighter and more reliable. Fuel flexibility is another compelling feature. Our gas turbines can run on natural gas or liquid fuel, and can switch between the two fuels during operation if needed, offering huge fuel cost savings, especially when wellhead gas is available.
The expected maintenance interval is also a key value, and for our gas turbine the first major overhaul occurs at 30,000 hours and can be accomplished is as little as 8 hours with a lease engine. This is a great advantage over diesel engines. With these savings, generally speaking, the return of investment is in months rather than years.
