North America's Leading Energy Event
June 9 - 11, 2020
Stampede Park - Calgary, Canada

From our Speakers - Steven Koles

The GPS Technical Conference is accepting abstracts until Friday, December 13. As the abstracts are coming in, we connected with 2019 Technical Speaker Steven Koles to talk about his experience in 2019.

GPS: What was your experience working with dmg events?

SK: Excellent.  DMG is very organized, are meticulous with details, and has the event planned well in advance.

GPS: How did you find out about the GPS Technical Conference?

SK: Hard not to know about it.  It’s the largest annual event to go through Calgary.

GPS:What encouraged you submit your abstract?

SK: Good international presence from attendees from out of town.

GPS: How would you compare speaking at the GPS Technical Conference to other speaking opportunities?

SK: Given the breadth of GPS, the speaking opportunities are also a bit broader, which brings forward many different perspectives from the attendees compared to a pipeline only event.

GPS: Did you have anyone reach out to you regarding your presentation?

SK: Yes, Hifi has received contacts from across Canada, US, Middle East, South America and Europe since the presentation in June.

GPS: Do you have any updates regarding your presentation since you’ve presented?

SK: Hifi was not only awarded the GPS Innovation Award for 2019, but also was awarded the similar category (Innovation) for the 2019 Canadian Energy Pipeline Association (CEPA) Foundation Awards.
